Bordeaux showed they are real title contenders as their pack is finally matching the class of their backline. Stade love a set piece game as their strength lies in the forwards with their front row of Alo-Emile and Ivaldi and Abramishvili being among the best in the league.
TIP: Knockout matches and French games in particular are decided by the forwards but this match could be the exception to the rule as Bordeaux have arguably the most dangerous backline in Europe. The man that has a huge job on his big hands is Ben Tameifuna. The powerhouse Tongan prop will need to be at his very best just to gain parity in the front row of the visitors scrum. If Bordeaux cannot get good ball from the scrums and rucks then it negates the effect of their backline. Stade also have some exciting players in the backs like Peniasi Dakuwaqa and Jeremy Ward. The Fijian in particular can make something out of nothing but he will need to be weary of the Bordeaux wingers. The difference in the match will be Jalibert as he can vary his game to any situation. I am predicting a Bordeaux win by more than 10 points.
