Race 2 – 1200m (MR 66 Handicap)
Weight turnaround will play a massive part in this race, and Purple Powahouse should be very hard to beat. However, we believe Granddaddy Purple will be competitive with only 49kgs, that low weight could make the difference in the final stretch, provided his well placed.

Race 3 – 1000m (FM 83 Handicap)
Another race which should be about weight turnaround, and we are in the camp of War Empress. Based on weight turnaround, she should have most of her rivals held. She has solid form, and should fight out the finish.

Race 4 – 1000m (FM 63 Handicap)
Zululanga has moderate form to her name, but she seems to enjoy the poly more than the turf track. She gets an appie claim here, and will be running with just 49.5kgs. If she uses her early gate speed, she may be hard to peg back.

Race 5 – 1000m (MR 76 Handicap)
Prior to his last two starts, Griffin Park had top form in this class. In three races he had 2 wins and a second. His last two starts was in a higher class and against tougher opposition. Now his back down in class, and against horses he has beaten before, he should show a return to form.

Race 6 – 2000m (FM 68 Handicap)
Leopard Lady is much better than her last few starts. She had dropped in the ratings, and is finally back to a competitive mark. She has top jock Richard Fourie in the saddle, and she represents excellent eachway value.

Race 7 – 1600m (MR 66 Handicap)
Very tough race with many in with a chance. National Dream captured a hattrick of wins, and is looking for four on the bounce, but is coming back from a 300 day break. If fit, he should be a leading contender. However, we are in the camp of Imaginable. He has fair form, and we think Richard Fourie can get the best out of him.

Race 8 – 1400m (FM 68 Handicap)
Another tough race to end the card and respect must be given to Miss Lialah. She has won 3 of her last four starts, and should be a big runner. However, based on weight turnarounds, Drive By and Kitten Adventure should have her number here. Drive By is our top choice, with fair form and the 4kg claim by the apprentice jockey, she is a massive runner with just 50kgs.
