Race 1 – 1000m (Maiden Juvenile Plate)

Roccapina should win the opener at 5/10. However, how often have we seen the stablemate topple the low-priced hottie? We would rather back the value on stable companion Stu’s Girl. She is drawn alongside the favourite, and her last few starts have been decent. The form line of her last race has been franked. If she jumps on terms, she should run into the money.

Suggested Bet – Stu’s Girl EW @ 12.5/1EW Place

Race 2 – 1000m (Maiden Juvenile Plate)

Iko Iko’s last start was poor as a favourite. He took no interest in that race, but we are giving him another chance. He has been gelded now, and if he is fit and ready to race, he should be competitive. Generally, horses need a run after a gelding, but this is a poor field, so he could surprise.

Suggested Bet – Iko Iko EW @ 8.5/1EW Place

Race 3 – 1400m (Maiden Juvenile Plate)

Coral Blaze’s last few starts have been fair, and she could have more to come. She gets a good draw and can compete with Sean Veale in the saddle.

Suggested Bet – Coral Blaze EW @ 5/1EW Place

Race 4 – 1400m (Open Maiden)

Look Forward has been taking on winners in her last three starts and even placed in a race. Her last run was poor, and she is back in maiden company. She is well weighted and can give the males a challenge.

Suggested Bet – Look Forward EW @ 7/1 Void-Scratched

Race 5 – 1950m (Open Maiden)

Kwite A King has placed in his last three starts and is an obvious threat. He ran powerfully over 1800m and looked to have extra. The 1950m should prove ideal for the three-year-old, who can continue his upturn in form.

Suggested Bet – Kwite A King EW @ 5.55/1EW Win

Race 6 – 1800m (Class 4)

Plum Pudding has two wins and three seconds in her last five starts and is in top form. She always gives her best and can continue to rake in the money in this field. She carries top weight but is still progressive and could be ahead of the handicapper.

Suggested Bet – Plum Pudding EW @ 4.5/1

Race 7 – 1400m (Class 5)

Hang Out The Stars produced a decent run from a wide draw in her last start. She gets the services of Richard Fourie, and he could make the difference. She carries a handy galloping mass of 56.5kgs; from draw three, she should be a leading contender.

Suggested Bet – Hang Out The Stars EW @ 6/1

Race 8 – 1400m (Class 4)

Most of these runners have been racing against each other, so weight turnarounds are a factor. Our selection is the ultra-consistent four-year-old filly Go Like Flo. The filly never runs a bad race and has run into the money in each of her last eight starts. She is weighted to beat most of these runners, and we are sure her odds will drop by race time. We love the value of her odds at the time of writing.

Suggested Bet – Go Like Flo EW @ 4.5/1EW Place

Race 9 – 1200m (Class 4)

All About Al has been running in Class 3 races lately and was in fair form. He returned to Class 4 at his last start and ran well when he finished third. Staying in Class 4 company here, he can continue to confirm his upturn in form, even while shouldering top weight. From a good draw of two, and with Corne Offer in the saddle, All About Al represents the EW value in the last.

Suggested Bet – All About Al EW @ 8/1
