Race 4 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
Green Lightning has produced two excellent runs (a second and a third) in her young career, and it won’t be long before she sheds her maiden tag. She has a low weight to carry in this race, and with only 54.5kgs, she could be hard to catch at the finish.

Race 5 – 1000m (MR 84 Handicap)
Nkandla Gold has fair form and gets the booking of the apprentice jockey once again. That 4kg claim has helped her in her last two runs against the same rivals, and with better luck in running, she should run into the money again. She may not win as she is still held on weight turnarounds, but she will be competitive.

Leeson is much better than his last start, where he raced wide around the turn. He has an impressive record over this distance (5 runs, one win, 1 second and two third places). He is unbeaten over track and trip, and respected jockey Craig Zackey could get the best out of him.

It is a tough race to predict, and plenty of horses have chances for victory. Respect must be given to Fully Loaded, who is seeking four wins in a row but is now up in class, so we looked elsewhere. Wyzeact is a progressive three-year-old gelding in decent form. He ran five days ago and produced an excellent second-place finish to a top horse. He should be a leading contender if this run does not come too soon.
