Race 3 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
King Of Queen should finally shed her maiden here, but she seems to always find one better to beat her. We prefer Bytheliteofthemoon to trouble the favourite. She has put up some solid runs in Fairview, and if you ignore her last run, where she was reported not to have been striding out, she should be competitive with 57.5kgs.

Race 4 – 1000m (MR 90 Handicap)
Axl, Siberian Steel and Barzalona are all having their first runs in the Eastern Cape. Should their travels gone well and they adapt to their new home, they should run well. However, we prefer backing a horse who has solid form at Fairview and has a good record over course and distance. Teatro is a lively contender in this sprint, and should earn another state cheque.

Race 5 – 1600m (FM 68 Handicap)
We backed Lady Writer in her last race and she delivered for us with an easy win. We have no reason not to back her again here, she was not penalized for that win and meets similar company in this race.

Race 6 – 1400m (Non-Black Type)
Funky Music, Naval Guard and Passage Of Power are having their first runs in Fairview. Naval Guard is a classy horse and at 20/1 is a lurker in this field, even though he is coming back from a 547 day break. Cherry Ano has solid form and has beaten most of his rivals, and should fight out the finish again. We believe he is the right horse to win.

Race 7 – 1000m (Listed Stakes)
Three Rocks is our best bet of the card. She is a top class filly with a tremendous record (10 races, 7 wins and 2 places). She has beaten most of her rivals in this race and is weighted to win.

Race 8 – 1200m (FM 66 Handicap)
Fairy Tripp has dropped to a competitive rating and seems to have settled in the Eastern Cape. Should she get a better chance in-running, she should be a massive threat and represents excellent eachway value.
