Race 1 – 1600m (Maiden Plate)

Racing begins on Sunday with a 1600m maiden plate and we believe Mike De Kock inmate Oxalis Gold is the right one in this field. The 2 year old filly has begun her career with two second place finishes and will love the step up to the mile.

Race 2 – 1600m (Maiden Plate)

American Rebel caught the eye with a second place finish in his last start, and he should enjoy the 1600m yet again. Under the stewardship of top jock Richard Fourie, he will be fighting out the finish.

Race 3 – 1600m (Novice Handicap)

While many of these runners have a number of runs under their belt, a chance is taken on 2 year old filly Miss Scaletta. After winning on debut, she could be anything and although this is tough opposition, she is progressive and carries bottom weight.

Race 4 – 1600m (Pinnacle)

Bingwa is a class horse and meets the right field for this Pinnacle race. He is carrying top weight, but class should prevail in this race.

Darling Harbour was outpaced in her latest start, a Grade 2, but she takes a drop in class for this race and represents solid eachway value. We expect her to improve and at worst, run into the places.

Race 6 – 1800m

Paschals Samore got back to winnings ways in her last start and if adopting the same front running tactics, she should be hard to peg back.

Race 7 – 1450m

Presley was not embarrassed in his last start (Grade 1), and dropping a class and trip to 1450m should get him back to the winner’s enclosure. He represents value at his current odds and should go close.

Race 8 – 1450m

You can ignore Lucky In The Sky last run, as she faced a few problems. She gets the apprentice claim for this race and with just 48kgs, she should be much more competitive. We are taking a chance on her and hoping she can atleast get a place for some EW returns.

Race 9 – 1450m

Sahara Dawn has been racing in sprint races but will now have a go at the 1450m, and we think she should get the trip. The 3 year old filly is progressive and should be more competitive in this field. Let’s hope she can end the racing day on a positive for us.
